Documents Required for Live/New Prescription

  1. Prescription requirement should meet.
  2. Handwritten prescription should be submitted with both sides of patient’s ID card.
  3. Date of submission should not exceed 1 month from perception date.
  4. Pharmacy will attend live/new prescriptions within 4 hours and requesting party will be informed to pick up from the pharmacy.

Refilling of Medicine for Long Term/ Chronic Illness

  1. Prescription requirement should meet.
  2. Handwritten prescription should be submitted with both sides of patient’s ID card.
  3. Patients are eligible for refill after 75 days (last 15 days of 3-month cycle) from last dispense date.
  4. Prescription should be issued for a diagnosed long-term illness.
  5. Refill eligibility is for continued long term medication only, not for the other medicines prescribed.
  6. Prescription should be issued from an Aasandha approved health facility.
  7. Validity of a local prescription should not exceed 3 months.
  8. Validity of a foreign prescription should not exceed 6 months.
  9. Pharmacy will attend within 48 hours and requesting party will be informed to pick up from pharmacy.

Request to Import Specialty Medicine from Abroad

  1. Prescription requirement should meet.
  2. Requesting party must submit both sides of patient’s ID card.
  3. Prescription validity should be within 2 months from prescription date.
  4. If prescription is for above 3 months, patient's medical records should be submitted.

Post Prescription Submission

  1. Pharmacy will contact requesting party once medicines are sourced from abroad.
  2. Estimated time to import such medicine is approximately 1 to 2 weeks.
